The
Royce Chemical Company was founded by Albert J. Royce,
Sr. as a Textile Chemical Manufacturing Concern.
Its primary products were Sodium Hydrosulfite, Sodium
Formaldehyde Sulfoxylate and Zinc Formaldehyde
Sulfoxylate. Royce has remained in the production of
Reductive Chemicals for over 70 years.

Royce
built a Zinc Powder plant to supply itself this key raw
material for it’s Hydro plant, as well as sell it to
the major alkaline battery manufacturers.

purchased Passaic Color and Chemical, putting it in the
dyestuff business for Plastics, Paper, Leather, and
Textiles industries.

built an Indigo Dispersion plant and began supplying

toll manufacture for them.

Division of Cleanese. Royce continued as a Dyestuff
company and Zinc Powder manufacturer.

built a Plastic Recycling Plant.

sold its technology and alkaline battery market for Zinc
Powder to Noranda Corporation, a multi-billion dollar
Canadian Natural Resources Company.

changed its Plastic Recycling plant and began to
manufacture Color Concentrates.

Royce
began manufacturing micronized waxes for the Ink,
Coatings, and Plastics Industries.

Transferred
Phenalkamine Resin technology and formed a strategic
alliance with Cibatul, a former joint venture of
Ciba-Geigy, in India.
