Royce is the leading producer of Sodium Formaldehyde Sulfoxylate in the United States. S. F. S. is a powerful reducing agent used as a catalyst in the polymerization of synthetic rubber and various latexes in the Paint and Adhesive industries. S. F. S. is also widely used as an additive in the Textile processing, and most recently, in advanced water treatment systems.

  • Custom Grinds Size
While other suppliers simply sell Sodium Formaldehyde Sulfoxylate in 2 or 3 grind sizes, packaged in 250 lb. drums, Royce manufactures and packages S. F. S. in any particle size our customer requires. Besides 250 lb. drums, we provide custom ground material in bulk bags, 50 lb. bags, 50 lb. kegs or any other package to the exact weight specified.

  • New Liquid
Furthermore, we are the only supplier of a stabilized liquid. This product offers maximum consistency and ease of handling. It is supplied in bulk tank wagons, semi-bulk totes, 55 gallon drums or any custom container our customers need.

  • New and Traditional uses
Royce S. F.S. is primarily used as a redox catalyst in emulsion polymerization, where uniformity, purity, and special quality control assures consistency, high yields, and good quality polymer. It is commonly used in aqueous polymerization at pH between 3.5 and 11.

It is a very efficient oxygen scavenger, and is used as such in some polymer applications. Furthermore, as a reductive bleach, alone or in combination with a chelating agent, it can be used to brighten plastic.

Royce S. F. S. is widely used in the Textile Industry for discharge printing, and in color stripping of wool, nylon polyester and other synthetics.

Our product can also be used as a stabilizer and/or antioxidant, in industrial and fine chemical formulations. It is approved as an indirect food additive in 21 CFR for a number of applications in paper and rubber, where customers are certain that specific application is covered. Royce S. F. S. is also gaining usage in water treatment.

Highly skilled laboratory technicians check each and every batch of this very important chemical, as consistency is critical to the success of our customers.
